I really don't like this damp weather, do you?
Still it does give me a good excuse to stay indoors and do some winter woolly knitting. Maybe I will finish the cardigan I'm knitting for my daughter. It's by Rico yarns in a feather light boucle yarn, long and black. I'd much rather be knitting in a bright colour when the weather is miserable but my daughter has already reached the age of the long black cardigan that covers everything. I remember making myself one when I was about 12 years old. It was black basic acrylic and every time it was washed it grew. I loved that cardigan and wore it until it disintegrated some 6 or 7 years later. It had become a total eyesore but it had seem me through heartache, illness and other afflictions of the teenage years so I parted with it with a heavy heart. I hope Caitlin's cardigan lasts as long and keeps her feeling safe through her teens.
