The holidays are here and if, like me, you are not going away this year you can sit in your garden or balcony or lounge and learn a new skill. I'm going to have a go at Tunisian Crochet ; keep in touch here for my progress (or disasters).
If you are tearing your hair out already why not visit your local wool shop (or us) and raid their bargain boxes for some wool. We sell bits and bobs for 50p a bag in the shop. Then get creative. Caitlin and I love making loo roll tube people with wild wooly hair, felt clothes and googly eyes. We will show you some of our creations later in the holidays. It's the perfect time to pass on our ancient craft to the next generations. Caitlin is a competent knitter with knit stitch so I may introduce purl this August. It's important not to push kids so if she wants to stick with knit stitch that's fine too. Here in the wool shop 6 boxes of winter yarns have arrived and I'm not sure where it will all go. We will be putting lots of it on here over the next few weeks so have a look at the on line shop frequently to see what's new in store. Today all the lovely Louisa Harding yarns are going on. Please don't buy them because I want them all...Only joking folks; they are so beautiful they should be shared. Catch up with you soon Sharon x
