My preferred double pointed needles for socks, I own multiple packs of 2.25mm and 2.5mm needles which are in heavy rotation. They are super smooth, and have just the right amount of grip (haven't yet lost a stitch off the end!) and the colour coding is great as they are so easy to spot!
