Double knit yarn made up of 4 threads which gradually change colour to give a slow graduated colour changing effect.
200g yarn cake with 800m per cake
70% Acrylic and 30% Wool.
Recommended needles or hook - 4mm
Knitted tension is 24sts and 32 rows for a 10x10cm square.
I have knit a great blanket poncho with this yarn and I really love it! It's very warm despite how light and airy the yarn feels. The colour changes aren't bothersome at all and the effect it produces is really pretty - one of the best colour changing yarns, especially if you are looking for gentle colour changes. The yarn cake starts with all 4 threads of the beginning colour and then change 1 thread at a time to the second colour, carrying on like this through 6 colours. Because of the yarn composition, the 4 threads do stay together well whilst you're knitting - perhaps a tiny bit more care is needed to make sure you've caught all the yarn for the stitch, but this is a small price to pay for such a pretty overall effect in my opinion.
