Linen drape is the new summer yarn from Stylecraft which blends cool linen with viscose to make a yarn that drapes beautifully and makes the perfect summer evening layer. Pattern support is good in the shape of 8 ladies' patterns, both for outer layers and summer tops. I've started knitting myself a 3/4 sleeve cardigan for the summer evenings when it's a bit cooler (and let's face it, many of the days too!) and I am loving this yarn! I've chosen the Cranberry colourway which is a deep red, but still has a brightness to it (if a deep dark red is more your thing, check out the Sangria colour, which is very much like a good wine!). It's great to work with, has a lovely weight to it (coming from the linen is my guess) but still feels light and cool in the knitted fabric (due to the viscose). I can already see I'm going to love this cardigan when it's made!

This is Rico's yarn cake reimagined for the summer in a nice cotton mix version. Like the wool dégradé, it is made of 4 separate strands which swap out one at a time to give a graduated effect. It also has a triangular shawl pattern written on the back of the ball band so you don't need to look far for something to use it for when you've fallen in love with it! It does feel beautifully soft as well, so would make a good shawl or scarf for someone who is sensitive to wool and other furry fibres!
Creative Melange Lace is a cotton laceweight yarn perfect for use in a summer shawl or scarf. With the right pattern you could even make a very thin and light cardigan to use when it gets a bit colder in the evenings. It comes out as very gentle speckled stripy effect which is really pretty.
Bambino is Stylecraft's new Baby yarn, which comes in 6 beautiful muted vintage shades, plus white and cream. There is very good pattern support for this yarn with lots of patterns with a vintage vibe, including the cutest boy's dungarees! Sharon is currently knitting up the pixie hood garter stitch cardigan in the sage colourway and is very much enjoying it. Its a very easy knit which doesn't snag or split and is very soft to handle!
Head over Heels is Stylecraft's sock yarn, made with 75% superwash wool so the socks are warm but 25% Nylon so they are machine washable. Knitted up, it has a stripy appearance punctuated by blocks of black and white faux fairisle, as seen in the above picture. We have the 3 colourways shown above, blue, pink, and purple in store.

Stylecraft Batik Elements is the new yarn from Stylecraft. A lovely blend of complimenting shades in 8 different colour ways, it has a really nice vintage look. It’s made of 20% wool and 80% premium acrylic (the same acrylic as in their very popular Special DK range). It means it’s machine washable and can even tumble dry on the cool setting! It has the standard tension of 22 stitches and 30 rows so you can use your favourite DK patterns if you want! If you want a pattern specifically for this yarn, we have 2 lovely knitted shawl patterns that showcase the yarn beautifully.
Alpaca Dream is a delightfully soft chain plied yarn which has just arrived. We are awaiting the rest of the colours in the range, but the colours we do have are so inviting I'm really excited about seeing them! The chain ply means the yarn is very plump and lightweight, which you can tell from the fact there is still 105m on a ball, even though the overall weight is less. We have 2 patterns in store, a triangular shawl using 3 colours, and a kimono style comfy cardigan. Although as it knits to standard DK tension you can knit whatever you like!
